Conflict Detection

Conflict Detection

When you create or edit an event, Vulnotes checks for scheduling conflicts. If a team member is already assigned to another event during the same time period, or has marked themselves as unavailable, you will be warned about the overlap.

What counts as a conflict

A conflict is detected when:

  • A team member is assigned to two events that overlap in time
  • An event is scheduled during a period where the team member has marked themselves as unavailable

Resolving conflicts

Conflicts are shown as warnings, not blockers. You can still create the event if the overlap is intentional (for example, someone attending a conference in the morning and working on a report in the afternoon).

If the conflict is unintentional, adjust the event dates or reassign the team member to resolve it.
