"License validation failed"

Your license key could not be verified. This usually means:

  • The license has expired. Check your subscription at manager.vulnotes.com.
  • The Vulnotes server cannot reach the license validation endpoint. On on-premise deployments, the backend needs outbound HTTPS access to manager.vulnotes.com.
  • The license.json file is missing or corrupted. Re-run vulnotes init with a fresh provisioning token if needed.

"Maximum users reached"

Your license has a user limit. You have reached it and cannot create more accounts. Either deactivate unused accounts in User Management or upgrade your plan.

"Session limit exceeded"

You are trying to log in on a third device. Vulnotes allows a maximum of 2 concurrent sessions per user. Log out from another device first, or your oldest session will be ended automatically.

"Template not found" during export

The report's linked template was deleted or is no longer accessible. Open the report, click More, and select a different template from the dropdown.

"AI generation failed"

The AI provider returned an error. Common causes:

  • Invalid or expired API key. Check the key in Administration > Settings > AI.
  • The AI provider's API is temporarily unavailable. Try again in a few minutes.
  • The request was too large. Very long reports or findings may exceed the provider's token limit.

"Import failed: duplicate entries"

During data import, items with names matching existing entries get an "(Import)" suffix automatically. If the import still fails, check the error details in the import results for the specific entries that caused issues.
